During this qualification you will investigate the role and benefits of mentoring, examine mentoring agreements, including what they should cover and when they should end. You will investigate how mentors are recruited and managed as well as how they are supported.
You will explore the skills and tools needed to be a mentor including communication, questioning and feedback. You will learn how to develop skills and personal development plans, investigate the legal and ethical requirements of mentoring.
Finally, you will prepare for and carry out an assessor-observed mentoring meeting via our conferencing app.
